Selma Zakkour Spath is a Lebanese-American graduate of the BFA Fashion Design program at Parsons School of Design. During her time at Parsons, she honed her skills in both pattern making and textile printmaking. In her textile and printmaking practice she enjoys exploring the intersection between art and technology as well as the interaction between digital and analog.
She is heavily inspired by the experience of childhood and the everyday heirlooms these memories and the memories of previous generations. Selma is also heavily influenced by the sentimental value that an item can hold over time and aims to create pieces that the wearer will pass down to future generations.
